It's not just guys in IT! - 1
“I made the decision to move into the IT field on March 7, 2014. Yes, that's exactly how I remember it clearly, and yes, I decided one day. And I decided to stay here. Yes, sometimes things happen very quickly!” Yesterday - October 31, 2014 - was the last day of my probationary period. And today, with great gratitude to CodeGym, I want to remember this short and long period of my life at the same time.

Studies

I made the decision to move into the IT field on March 7, 2014 . Yes, that's exactly how I clearly remember, and yes - I decided one day :)). Having a fairly large experience in both teaching and teaching, I was well aware that there is nothing better than interactive courses. An hour of searching on the Internet - and I found Java Rush . And I decided to stay here. Yes, sometimes things happen very quickly! :)) I’ll say right away that the course really fascinated me, and, despite the small amount of free time, I passed it very quickly ( yes, imagine the picture: I’m visiting, I ask for a laptop and turn on Java Rush ... It happened! ) . On average, I practiced every day for 2-3 hours .
I cannot say that I had any special approach. But from the experience of my two higher educations and more than four years of teaching, from banal observations, I know that just reading a textbook is practically useless ... But it’s difficult to come up with something better than applied problems!
Around mid-late April of the same 2014 , I reached level 26 (approximately ... frankly, I don’t remember exactly), and by the beginning of May I asked for a Java Rush internship ( 26 levels in less than two months - not bad! - approx. ed. ). The test task turned out to be very interesting and informative, starting with the little things, when you try to understand for half a day that Spring and Hibernate simply won’t work on IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition , and ending with other, more serious things.
According to the representatives of CodeGym with whom I spoke, I was the first girl who made it to the internship. Thank you, it's very nice :)
Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to fully participate in the project itself: there were quite a lot of business trips at work, and I just didn’t have time ... But even the starting weeks gave me a lot!

Interviews and Jobs!

In August, I finally changed jobs. Quite unexpectedly for myself, I became an SFDC Developer . That is, now I am writing under the cloud CRM system Salesforce.com . At the interview, it was necessary to know, in addition to Java , which has already become native , working with databases and the basics of JavaScript , and in the first month at work, learn two more languages \u200b\u200b- Apex ( it looks like Java ) and the Visualforce markup language , but with a base obtained in Java Rush , it didn't become a problem. Many thanks to the whole team and great development! And all the participants - perseverance and self-confidence!
