Running a Java Applet in a Browser

Published in the Random EN group
Good afternoon, Javarash residents! Today I decided to get at least the slightest idea of what the awt library is and ran into a problem when launching the first simple applet. Running a Java Applet in a Browser - 1It launched through appletviewer , but in the browser it didn’t work. At first the problem was due to an old version of the JRE being installed along with the latest one. I removed it, installed Java 8 Update 31 for both 32 and 64-bit versions of the OS. On the Oracle website, the test was successful, and the test applet launched there. But when I try to run my local applet, it ends up displaying something like this: Running a Java Applet in a Browser - 2 When I click on it, I get this window: Running a Java Applet in a Browser - 3I cannot add a local applet to the exception list in the Java control panel. What could be the problem? Maybe you shouldn’t worry and just run applets via appletviewer ? Or roll back to version 7 of the JRE and lower the security settings? It’s just that I’ve been fiddling around with the JRE for two hours, and I finally want to write code.
