JavaRush in abstract

Published in the Random EN group
So, you are ready to learn Java and found our resource JavaRush . To make everything fall into place, I will try to describe the process of using the resource in the form of abstracts.
JavaRush in abstract - 1
  1. You can log in to the service anonymously or through a social network. If you logged in anonymously, you can link your social network in the settings.
This makes it easier to log into the site; you do not need to remember the secret key, you will not lose it. We are not spammers, and if we write to you, it will only be in exceptional cases.

  2. The secret key is your account. If you send it to a friend or post it on the Internet, then, in fact, you lose your account.

  3. Creating a new key results in the creation of a new account. If you want to start learning again, then create a new secret key for yourself.

  4. So, you are logged in. Start reading lectures and doing the tasks given in the lectures. If you are unable to solve a problem, then ask a question about the solution on Help .

  5. At the third level, you will be asked to download the project in IntelliJ IDEA along with the JavaRush plugin. You need to install everything and move to solve problems in IDEA. Carefully read all additional materials for level 3, they describe how to properly open a JavaRushHomeWork project and how to set up the development environment.

  6. Learning with JavaRush is different from the standard education pattern of lecture followed by practice. JavaRush has a different scheme:

    • Some tasks are given in advance (first you ask yourself questions, then you get answers). Those. There have been no lectures on such problems yet. You need to look for information on how to solve them on the Internet or continue reading the lectures. At the next level, theoretical material will be given.
    • Some tasks are given for repetition
    • Some of the assignments are bonus, they are not based on the course material. For information, only go to the Internet.
    • Some of the tasks are given to consolidate the material just covered.
    • Some of the tasks are videos. They allow your brain to rest and “digest” the material you just learned. By completing tasks consistently you will achieve maximum results.

  7. At level 5 you will have the opportunity to receive an invitation to our Community . Go to settings, copy the invite and register. Here you can discuss any issues related to programming.

  8. You must learn to search for information on the Internet. It is very important. No one at work will chew on the material for you. You need to learn to search and master the material on your own. To do this, at the end of each lecture there is a link to additional material that is required reading. Don't skip this part of the training.

  9. You should read at least one book on Java. Preferably more: Head First Java, Thinking in java. The course is designed in such a way that you will be sent to read a book in addition to the lecture material. Some theoretical material is not given in the course; you must obtain it from other sources.

  10. JavaRush is not just another lecture on Java, of which there are plenty on the Internet. This is a balanced course from the theory we wrote, a large number of practical tasks, links to books and forums, support on Help, and the community.

  11. Each task is designed to teach you something. Remember, it's not just Java! In addition to Java, the course teaches how to use IDEA, search for information on the Internet, read books, conduct analysis, communicate with fellow students, “read” other people’s code, refactor, decompose large tasks into subtasks, and also teaches the use of patterns. The course also contains interview questions that will be asked at almost every interview.

  12. At level 10, the free part of the course ends. Those who have purchased a subscription continue to learn from JavaRush.

All the material covered, as well as the use of the Community and Help, remains available to everyone. It's time to indicate in the settings your email for contact, as well as the city in which you expect to find a job later. Companies contact us, and we give a sample exclusively by city, after which we will contact you by email and can send your data to the employer. Those. Users without a city or email address are ignored.
