Moving a project to another directory

There was a need to change the JavaRushHomeWork project directory towards the cloud service folder (Dropbox, OneDrive) in order to work with the same material both at home and in the office, if necessary. What tools are used to do this? Intuitively I dug towards Refactoring->Move. The project seemed to have been transferred, but when compiling tasks an error occurred (something with the root directory and build, I don’t remember verbatim from memory :/) - I had to “unwind” it back to how it was. Am I thinking correctly and what did I not take into account? Now a second idea has arisen - to close the project. Move it through the file manager to the desired directory. Open it in IDEA from a new location. Haven't tried it yet. But can you still do it through the first method? Thanks in advance.
