Studies

Few people know me on this resource. I didn't really interact with anyone here, and my social activities on Java Rush began and ended with the fact that if I had a problem, I would study the forum and immediately find the answer in it if I read well into the problems of others and their answers. I started with the help of this resource, I started learning Java in January 2014 , without programming experience. At the time when I found a job, or rather an internship in a company ( June 2014 ), I had only reached level 12 , and now ( February 2015 ) I’m at level 23 . The level is so low because I work as a programmer and I don't have enough time. Nevertheless, even now I consider it necessary to study. So, at the time of employment, I had level 12 Java Rush , read the book “ Philosophy of Java ,” which, frankly speaking, was not even half understood. Plus, at the same time I took Golovach’s courses and worked as a bartender “ three days in threefrom 8 to 23 .

How I got an internship at a company

At the time of my internship at the company, I only had internships from January to June. To get an interview, you had to solve a sorting problem at home. It was tested for processing speed depending on the number of elements, plus it was necessary to write a JUNIT test . In general, I didn’t sleep, and I kept coding it like crazy. I was surprised that this happened, but I was still invited for an interview. There they gave me a problem on algorithms, about Fibonacci numbers . I was even surprised that they suddenly slipped me such “ lightness ” =). But it was not there! After I mastered it, they started asking me about theory, about HTTP ... and I blankly looked at the floor. However, I don’t know by what miracle ( I’m probably just lucky! ) I was invited to an internship, and for 3 months, like hell, I sat there for 15 hours straight , because it was very interesting and I liked it. In the evening I came home and read books and articles, watched videos... In a word, I lived Java.

Job!

To this day ( at least as of April 2015 , editor's note ) I work for the Naumen company . I also made my first mobile application for Android for a customer . In general, you can say I’m proud of myself, but I know and believe that anyone can do this if they really need it. My post was written during the working day, I decided to go to my favorite Java resource and tell how I'm doing in order to help other beginners. I can say that I am making progress at work. I am glad that there are many experienced colleagues who can answer questions. The salary suits me, as a person with no experience. I can’t say the amount, but I will say that in a little more than six months, it increased by 10,000 rubles . By the way, in order to get a job, I had to leave my hometown. However, my uncle lives in Yekaterinburg, where I went, so it was easier for me to settle into a new place. Tips for Beginner Java Developers
  1. For those who do not know Linux and the command line, I recommend taking it up. I had to learn everything from scratch while working.
  2. Learn SQL and Hibernate ! Here is a good link: www.sql-ex.ru/samsonych.com/lib.html
  3. Without a version control system - nowhere. Git is our everything. git-scm.com/book/ru/
  4. Be sure to understand how client-server applications interact.
  5. And - the most important thing: know that you will succeed! Don’t stop acting, don’t give up if you suddenly have doubts! Just go to Java Rush and solve problems.
Love, self-confidence and work to everyone!
