“I made the decision to go into the IT field on March 7, 2014. Yes, that’s exactly what I remember clearly, and yes, I decided one day. And I decided to stay here. Yes, sometimes everything happens very quickly!” Yesterday—October 31, 2014—was the last day of my probation. And today, with great gratitude to JavaRush, I want to remember this simultaneously short and long period of my life.

Studies

I made the decision to go into the IT field on March 7, 2014 . Yes, I remember exactly that clearly, and yes, I decided one day :)). Having quite a lot of experience in both learning and teaching, I was well aware that there is nothing better than interactive courses. An hour of searching on the Internet - and I found Java Rush . And I decided to stay here. Yes, sometimes everything happens very quickly! :)) I’ll say right away - I was very interested in the course, and, despite the small amount of free time, I completed it very quickly ( yes, imagine the picture: I’m visiting, asking for a laptop and turning on Java Rush ... This has happened! ) . On average, I studied every day for 2-3 hours .
I can’t say that I had any special approach. But from the experience of two higher education degrees and more than four years of teaching, I know from banal observations: just reading a textbook is practically useless... And it’s difficult to come up with something better than applied problems!
Around mid-to-late April of the same 2014 , I reached level 26 (approximately... frankly speaking, I don’t remember exactly), and by the beginning of May I asked for a Java Rush internship ( 26 levels in less than two months - not bad! - approx. admiring ed. ). The test task turned out to be very interesting and informative, starting with little things, when you spend half a day trying to understand that Spring and Hibernate simply won’t work on IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition , and ending with other, more serious things.
According to the JavaRush representatives I spoke with, I was the first girl to get an internship. Thank you, this is very nice :)
Unfortunately, I was not able to fully participate in the project itself: there were quite a lot of business trips at work, and I simply did not have time... But even the starting weeks gave me a lot!

Interviews and work!

In August I finally changed jobs. Quite unexpectedly for myself, I became an SFDC Developer . That is, now I am writing for the Salesforce.com cloud CRM system . At the interview, you had to know, in addition to the now native Java , working with databases and the basics of JavaScript , and in the first month at work you had to learn two more languages - Apex ( it is similar to Java ) and the Visualforce markup language , but with a base obtained in Java Rush , it wasn't a problem. Many thanks to the whole team and great development! And to all participants - perseverance and self-confidence!
