Some time ago we implemented the section “ Games” at CodeGym, where everyone can try themselves as a novice game developer and write their own implementation of a classic video game. The game is similar to the problem you solve in CodeGym. To make it easier for novice programmers, it is broken down into steps with detailed recommendations. Some games can be made by beginners who have only reached the fifth level of CodeGym, for others, a little more knowledge is needed. And finally, the most interesting thing: after you follow the instructions and get the result, the game can be modified to your heart's content! Judging by the number of already implemented games, this educational entertainment is not bad for our users. So, at the time of this writing, about 250 toys have been published. Evolution game based on 2048
The powers of two that 2048 is built on is good (especially for computers!). However, you know perfectly well what result you will get if you add two tiles with twos, fours, and so on. No surprise. And in this game by Pavel Plynko , the intrigue is preserved: playing for the first time, you have no idea what you will get by adding two unicellular or two cephalopods ... Try to play this game and find out who is at the top of evolution!
Everyone remembers the game “Snake”, in which a reptile locked in four walls eats apples, grows from it, and tries not to fit into these very four walls, and also not to bite its own tail. So, Konstantin Leonyuk from St. Petersburg decided that such gameplay is already very monotonous and supplemented it. First, the snake itself is more like a tank. Secondly, after eating five apples, you go to the next level, and there the field and the physics of movement change: from now on, our reptile “tank” only goes forward and diagonally. And also - the author designed everything very cool, this version of the “Snake” looks just fine.
If you are a programmer, almost nothing is impossible for you. Have you given out a field and tiles with numbers? Who said it's a 2048 game? Not at all necessary! Here Roman missed the usual tags and quickly built his own version of the classic puzzle on the basis of the implemented 2048. Yes, and screwed the mouse control, if you do not like to move the arrows. Try to collect all the numbers in order! Cheating, as in the case of a plastic counterpart, will not work;).
Where this snake with the face of Frankenstein was thrown is hard to say. Perhaps this is a zombie apocalypse? Around it is some kind of city with different buildings, and cars, penguins, surfers, boatmen and other incomprehensible objects serve as food. However, this mysterious version both looks and plays interesting - give it a try!
“You are starting a new game! You have one life. The number of mines on the field is indicated. Every 1000 points you get one more life, ”writes the author of the modification . In this “Sapper” everything is very cool visualized, there is a start button and the field is enlarged. Well, every sapper dreams of the opportunity to get another life.
In this modification, you fall into a cublo of sleeping snakes that feed in turn. Eats an apple - falls into suspended animation, and another snake wakes up. But the most interesting thing about this version is that its author used artificial intelligence for automatic play! Of course, you can always press the button and switch to manual control... But watching the snakes live their own lives is even more interesting!
In this modification, the author not only created interesting graphics in the spirit of Another World , but also slightly changed the rules: now on the Moon (or where the action takes place, perhaps in an unknown world?) There are portals that take you to another place when you land carefully. And the game also has a timer that allows you to compete with yourself in high-speed landing, and the amount of fuel is limited.
Konstantin from Moscow got confused with MoonLander and managed to create a very beautiful picture, judging by which, here someone has already tried to land on the moon ... unsuccessfully. Well, you will succeed! Judging by the reviews, there is also a more responsive control than in the original, it turned out. See for yourself!

The author of the game kozlotron (if anything, he called himself that, it's not us :)), probably refers to those who did not use instructions from Lego in their childhood, but invented their own buildings and assembled them exactly the way they wanted. Everything is turned upside down in this version: your goal is not to get 2048, but, on the contrary, to reduce the value of the tiles until you get the usual 2. A simple idea that makes you look at the boring game in a new way.
And Vitaly Volokh added to the game 2048 the ability not only to stack tiles, but also to multiply their face value when a special “bonus” tile with an asterisk appears. Try it, it definitely brings new colors to the game!
Vitaly Volokh, mentioned above, created another interesting modification, this time the Minesweeper game. Now the work of a sapper has become even more difficult: with each opening of an unmined cage, the rest randomly change color ... The main thing is not to get dizzy! I am glad that the first move is always safe.
