Google introduces new rules for Chrome extension developers
Google has announced a policy change regarding the development of extensions for the Chrome browser. The rules, which will begin on August 27, provide for:- Prohibition on adding duplicate extensions with different names but the same functions.
- Prohibition of using spam in keywords when filling out extension metadata fields.
- Developers are not permitted to use misleading, improperly formatted, irrelevant, inaccurate, or inappropriate metadata.
- It is not allowed to increase extension installations through paid reviews, spam, fraudulent or other actions that mislead users.
- Extensions that have only one purpose, such as launching a web page or application, are not allowed. The same applies to extensions with annoying advertising.
In the Quarkus 1.4.1 release. Java 8 support announced
In the new release of the Quarkus framework 1.4.1. Final announced the end of support for Java 8. Instead, users are encouraged to upgrade to Java 11. According to a post on the corporate blog, support for Java 8 is planned to end in about two months. In addition to announcing the move to Java 11, the latest version of Quarkus improves performance based on benchmark results , fixes previously reported bugs, and adds several new features.- HTTP/2 and Vault KV Secret Engine support is now enabled by default.
