A Kharkov Java developer, whose name the DOU website decided not to publish, spoke about receiving an offer for $8 thousand a month. The very fact of employment with a similar amount of compensation is not so rare in Ukrainian IT, but it is unusual that the developer has a Middle level. According to the programmer, from March to December 2021, the offer size for his position increased from 5 to 7 thousand dollars. If in March last year he received about 120 offers on his resume with a salary of 5 thousand dollars, then at the end of the year he was offered at least 50 offers with a salary of up to 7 thousand dollars a month. “It was super easy for me to get $5,000. It was much more difficult to get a job for $1,500 when I had no experience in Java,” says the developer. At the time of employment in the summer of 2021, a middle worker with less than two years of commercial development experience was offered a salary of $7.5 thousand. Belarus does not exclude the possibility of depriving IT specialists of tax benefits
During his annual address to the National Assembly, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko mentioned that he thought “whether the time has come to put IT workers on an equal footing.” The Belarusian leader connected his opinion with the fact that “IT specialists and individual entrepreneurs were at the forefront of the protests in 2020.” “I created the HTP (High Technology Park – editor’s note) with my own hands and supported the development of individual entrepreneurs. And why did they spill out into the streets? Isn't it time to put our IT specialists on an equal footing?... I think we'll come to an agreement. If not, let's do it the American way. If you want to hire a specialist from the Academy of Sciences, pay. Let Microsoft and Google pay a good price,” said Alexander Lukashenko. Beta version of iOS 15.4 introduces face unlock feature while wearing a mask
Apple has released a beta version of iOS 15.4 for developers. The new release contains several important features, but they are currently only available on iPhone 12 and 13. In particular, users now have the opportunity to set up Face ID to recognize a face wearing a mask. In your device settings, you can now choose whether to use Face ID with or without a mask. You can also specify in the settings whether the user always wears glasses to make recognition more accurate. In Germany, a special group was created to investigate crimes on Telegram
The German Federal Criminal Office (BKA) has formed a task force to investigate crimes committed on Telegram. Law enforcement officials are also “studying Telegram’s behavior regarding requests to delete and release data” during investigations “in the field of politically motivated crimes.” The VKA press service, citing data from German security agencies, stated that Telegram is increasingly turning into a communication platform among radicals and criminals. “We are committed to cooperation with Telegram, but we will also take our own measures if Telegram does not cooperate,” said BKA head Holger Münch. End-to-end encryption in Messenger extended to all chats and calls
Meta announced the expansion of end-to-end encryption in Facebook Messenger. If previously Messenger users could only use it in personal chats, now encryption has been expanded to group chats, voice messages and video calls in the application. To enable end-to-end encryption for group chats and calls, manual activation is required. This happens in two ways: the user can either swipe up on an existing conversation to activate the chat, in which messages automatically disappear when the window is closed, or click on the padlock icon when creating a new chat.
