Level 32

This story can get very long, so in short: About 10 months ago, I had a strong desire to change my profession to something related to IT. Because his diploma with honors as a civil engineer did not impress him with job prospects at all. Well, off we go, first codeAcademy. And then confidently in the direction of Java, first just “Java philosophy” and a course on Intuit. And then JavaRash was found, and there it was just like on rails (persistence and work). The classes were not easy, I found a lot of rakes in the tasks and stepped on everything, but this may have helped me. After 6 months, I decided to look for a job. Maybe it’s too late, because they write here that you can learn everything in 3 months, but by studying diligently every day and abandoning everything else, such thoughts appeared only then (although I had no confidence in my abilities). I compiled a resume, posted it everywhere, and sent it out to local companies. Well, I began to wait. I was then at level 19-20, by the way. I was also looking for vacancies in two areas of Java and QA at once (and why not). As a result, about 2 months of short telephone surveys and answers about the lack of experience and the source of my knowledge. I was invited to the first interview, I spent the evening frantically preparing, and realizing that I would not be able to remember everything. For the interview, I was handed papers with written problems (on which there were later questions). The questions were completely standard, just like they write in every article about an interview. Here are some concurrentHashMap, initialization order, super method, multithreading touched on a little. The overall impression from him was not very good, because they asked without interest, there were few questions and no one clarified my monosyllabic answers without going into depth. The first damn thing seemed lumpy to me then, but a week later they called me back and invited me to work and I agreed. After all, experience is needed like air. And it was the first day at a new job) The one who walks will master the road, thank you all for your help. This is just the beginning on my journey. PS I hope this is useful to someone and will add patience and motivation.
