A small parable to finish
A flood came. People are running, trying to survive. One devout man, Haim, stayed behind and prayed: “God will save me.”
A truck drives by:
— Haim, get in, let’s go with us!
— No, God will save me.
The water rises—a boat floats by:
— Haim, jump in with us!
— No, God will save me.
The water is already up to the roof, a helicopter arrives:
— Haim, hold on, we’ll save you!
— No, God will save me.
In the end, Haim drowns, ends up in heaven, and asks God:
— Why didn’t You save me?
And God answers:
— I sent you a truck, a boat, and a helicopter! What’s the problem?
The world gives us opportunities every day. The main thing is not to walk past your chances. The future begins with your decision.
