Online Internship: Summer Recruitment

Published in the Random EN group
UPD: The group has been recruited. The estimated start of the next recruitment for the project is the first week of August 2016. The estimated start of the next project is September 1, 2016. Follow the news. Everyone who submitted applications after the summer intake will be verified and included in the next intake. Good News Everyone! We are pleased to inform you that the next recruitment for online internship has begun! You have a unique opportunity to gain experience with the following technologies: Git, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate, JPA, Junit, JSP, JSTL, ORM, REST, Bootstrap, AJAX and jQuery. Of course, you won’t learn all this too deeply in 12 weeks, but, firstly, you will be able to indicate these technologies on your resume, and secondly, it is very likely that in these 12 weeks you will learn more about programming than 5 years of university . The choice is yours. Sign up only if you can devote 6-8 hours a week to studying. Reviews of previous participants can be read here . The terms of participation:
  • You have an Internship, Mentor or Premium Project subscription
  • Your JavaRush level is 30 or higher
  • You have completed the test task
If your level is below 30, but at least 25+, you can try to reach level 30. Recruitment for the online internship will continue until May 24 , so you have almost a month. If you don't have an Internship/Mentor subscription, it may be time to buy one or upgrade if you already have another Premium subscription. Who will benefit: If there are few large companies in your city, they have high requirements, or you want to stand out from other job seekers and get not just anywhere, but right away in the right place, then you should get practical experience through an online internship. Online internships are a great way to get hands-on experience (at your own cost). Where you can sign up: Leave your contact information in the “MY PAGE, Real Project” section. You also need to send a link to the completed test task. The test task must be completed. If you are unable to cope with the test task, then you will not be able to cope with half of the tasks of the online internship. It’s better to solve problems in JavaRush - they are much easier. The next internship is planned in 3 months - if you didn’t cope with the test task this time, then you can do it next time. It’s better to lose a day, then fly in five minutes. You can only participate in the online internship once. Duration: The internship lasts 12 weeks. Enrollment is open until May 24, the internship itself starts on May 26. After May 24, applications will not be accepted - you will have to wait for the next internship (September/October 2016). How everything will happen: You will write a fairly large project and will gain a very diverse experience, which, logically, will help you when applying for a job and, even more so, in the first year of work. The project is designed for 12 weeks (3 months). Every week you will study another technology and add another piece of functionality to your project. The training plan and list of technologies studied can be found here. Class format At the beginning of each week, you will receive a video recording of a lesson (2-4 hours long!), in which the next technology is analyzed and explained, and also given a homework assignment that you must complete in a week. Medium difficulty tasks. If you figure everything out on the first day, then do it in 1-2 days. If you didn’t understand right away, then you should invest a week. The right decision After a week, the internship supervisor posts his solution, and you can look at/examine it, regardless of whether your solution worked for you or not. This is a very effective approach because... analyzing the solutions of experienced developers can be an order of magnitude more useful than making your own somehow. Especially if you've just been racking your brains for days, looking for a way to do everything well, quickly and beautifully. Support A separate group will be created on Skype where you and other internship participants can ask questions in real time and receive answers from the internship supervisor. He can give comments on the technology being studied, on his solution and on his code. But not according to your code :P
