Hi all! On October 18, we celebrated the birthday of JavaRush, which, in its eighth year of life online, has only increased the pace of global expansion :) In 2020, our community grew by 300 thousand (now almost 1.6 million), so without a brief summary of the past year make do. If you haven’t kept up with all the updates or just recently came here to study, we’ll tell you what useful things we did and for what purpose.
New in our Java course
- Quarantine is quarantine, but we released the Java Syntax PRO quest into beta and tested it among members of our community. It has a different style of presenting information, a more balanced content of theory and practice. And most importantly, this is our basis for a real rocket gun in a personalized approach to online learning. All the details will come a little later.
- Dozens of additional lectures have been added that strengthen the Collections and Multithreading quests.
- It is now possible to view the correct solutions in the JavaRush plugin, and soon in the web version of the IDE. What is this all for? Ideally, so that you can compare your finished solution with the reference one :) In some cases, to understand the working code if you find yourself in a complete stupor. But remember: we recommend that you first deal with any complex task yourself or in the “Help” section.
Bonuses to motivation and self-discipline
- If you haven’t used it yet, try setting up a “Kick Schedule” for yourself . We think everything is obvious from the name: this is a customizable schedule of individual training, within which you receive “reminders” that it is time to return to training. As often as is convenient for you.
- Another good way to monitor your progress towards your goal is the JavaRush user rating . It is formed taking into account the intensity and success of your training on the course. Well, you can track small victories, such as solving a number of problems in a row (or all tasks of a quest), participating in the “Help” section, or writing mini-projects, thanks to achievements.
Even more opportunities to learn flexibly...
- The Android application for our course is being developed . Let’s not say once again how difficult it was to find a sensible solution for conveniently dialing a code from a phone. Let’s just say that in just over a year, the audience of the mobile application has grown to 150 thousand users.
- Recently, the menu has been updated in the web version , so now it will be even easier for you to plan your time on the site.
If you come to learn, then we strictly adhere to the “Training” section: we go through the course, solve problems, deal with the questions and answers in the “Help” section.
If you are in the mood to read useful things, talk about programming and more - look at the “Community”, where there are articles, a chat with the forum, and new success stories from graduates.
