Published in the Random EN group
Friends, the JavaRush team is in touch. We haven’t written such reports for a long time, but not because we forgot or did nothing. On the contrary, we have been constantly working on improvements. We think you have already noticed and appreciated some of the innovations. Here we will describe the main ones.

  1. Interface changes.

The first and most striking change is the transition to a wide format. Now the site is displayed across the entire width of the screen, without bars, as it was before. Other, less noticeable details have also changed to improve the usability of the site. The interface of the mobile version has also been improved.

  2. Smart search.

Search on JavaRush has become global. It searches for the word/phrase/code fragment you entered throughout the site - lectures, tasks, comments, posts in groups, help section - wherever possible.

  3. Switching to Angular.

Have you noticed how fast the JavaRush site has become lately? This happened because we carried out optimization and switched to the modern Angular framework.

  4. Compiler errors in plain language.

A novice programmer does not always understand the compiler's comments. Firstly, they are often written very briefly, and secondly, they are written in English. We decided to make life easier for beginners, and now WebIDE (a development environment for solving Java problems directly on our website) and the plugin for IntelliJ IDEA have clear explanations of compilation errors in Russian.

Upd. Errors in English remain; they are displayed in the WebIDE console. In IntelliJ IDEA, compiler errors in Russian are available only after submitting a task for review. When you start the program (Run), the errors will be in English.

  8. IDE update.

With the latest update, the environment for solving problems on the JavaRush website (we're talking about WebIDE) has improved considerably and become much more convenient. For example, now the condition of the problem is visible from everywhere. See for yourself! In the end, it’s enough to read the news, it’s time to learn.

PS: it will be even more interesting further. And very soon. Follow the news =).
