1. 🌍 Software eats world

In 2011, Marc Andreessen, a Silicon Valley legend and co-founder of Andreessen Horowitz, published the article “Why Software Is Eating the World” 🖥️. Even then, he noted that software had become the main driving force of the economy and was pushing out traditional professions. And this trend is only accelerating.

Computers, the internet, and mobile apps have changed the familiar order of things. Some people found themselves out of work because of technology, while others built entire fortunes 💰. All of this is a typical story in times of change. Farmers once left the fields, machines replaced factory workers, and now, where huge accounting departments used to be, there is one specialist with 1C and automation skills.

Technology consistently boosts labor productivity 📈. Machines and robots remove routine work, and “smart” software increases demand for competent specialists who can operate this equipment and build new services. One professional with modern tools 🛠️ can replace a dozen employees from the previous generation—and earn many times more. The result: services become cheaper, businesses become more profitable, and specialists become more valuable.

These technological booms happen regularly: recently it was cryptocurrency, and now it’s artificial intelligence. And if you didn’t manage to buy Bitcoin for $1, you won’t have to wait long for the next chance: the new wave has already started 🚀!

2. 🧠 Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence has been created ✅. In the fall of 2022, OpenAI introduced ChatGPT 3.5. And the world will never be the same again.

This AI easily passed the Turing test. It can play chess at a grandmaster level ♟️ and passed exams at the most prestigious universities 🎓. And every six months, its capabilities double. Which is great news. Welcome to the future.

The biggest tech companies have joined the AI race 🏁. Demand for AI specialists is growing at a crazy pace. Microsoft plans to spend $100 billion just on building data centers for training AI. Other tech companies are not falling behind either. Right now, there is fierce competition among IT giants for everything related to AI: servers, data centers, specialists, scientists.

Interesting fact. Facebook has started a real hunt for top AI programmers 🎯. In the summer of 2025, it hired several true superstars:

  • Poached Ruoming Pang from Apple for $250 million;
  • Poached Alexander Wang from Scale AI for $200 million;
  • Poached Trapit Bansal from OpenAI for $100 million;
  • Poached Nat Friedman from GitHub for $100 million;
  • Poached Daniel Gross from Safe Superintelligence for $50 million;

All these specialists were brought into Meta on record-setting terms 🏅—even many corporate executives have never seen contracts and bonuses like these. Right now, the fight for AI talent is a real “arms race,” and Meta has decided to play big.

3. 🧐 How will this affect you?

The news is actually excellent 😎. First, it has already become clear how the AI business will develop. Most likely, AI companies will provide AI-as-a-service: that is, they will not try to push all competitors out of the market; they will simply become AI contractors 🤝.

Second, any revolution, including a technological one, is an opportunity to build a career quickly. “If you can’t stop it, lead it!” So ignoring the AI revolution is unwise ❌; joining it is wise ✔️. Even better—being among the first.

A human + AI will displace a human without AI. Just as a person with a spear defeated a person with a club, a person with a gun 🔫 defeated a person with a spear, and so on. Artificial intelligence will greatly increase the productivity of people who know how to work with it. And such specialists will be needed everywhere 🌐.

And third. In the next decade, a ton of products and internet services 🌱 will appear that will make ordinary people’s work better, faster, and cheaper. This will move the global economy to a new level 🚩.

Undoubtedly, these companies will need top specialists who can use AI to create products that, together with AI, will deliver services. You need to become that person.

4. 🌑 “You were supposed to fight evil, not join it”

Will AI replace programmers? No. Quite the opposite 😈. Programmers, with the help of AI, will replace all other professions. The last profession to disappear will be programmer 😛.

Come over to the dark side. The dark side of AI is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural…
